We invite you to Françoise Vergès‘ lecture entitled Decolonizing Feminisms and to the book launch of the Czech translation of her book Decolonial Feminism (Karolinum 2025). The lecture will take place on March 11, 2025 at 4 pm in the main building of the Faculty of Arts, room P018. The lecture will be held in English and moderated by Zuzana Uhde.
What is decolonization and why should feminism be decolonized? In what ways do some feminisms participate in colonization, dispossession and exploitation? Françoise Vergès answers these questions by looking at Western feminist history and theory and what decolonial feminism proposes.
